Moirae - Chapter 2 - WIPCHAPTER 2   
   Dinner had consisted of pork chops pan fried with brown sugar and cloves, mashed potatoes, sweet truffle gravy, baby carrots cooked in blackberry tea, spring green beans, and a whole lot of silence.  Grandma mostly picked at her food, which was down right worrisome.  I didn't push her to talk, though.  I knew whatever was chewing on her mind would pause long enough to swallow, and she'd talk when she felt the need.  I gathered the dishes while Grandma went to stir the fire in the hearth.     She tossed another couple of splits of wood on the f Moirae - Chapter 2 - WIP

Moirae - Chapter 1CHAPTER 1   
   I remember the first time I had the hunger.  I don't mean the first time I awakened after the rebirth craving blood so bad I thought I'd go insane, though I remember that just as well.  No.  I mean the first time I craved power.  I had the craving long before the Sisters Grim took me into their fold.  But I suppose I'm getting ahead of myself.  Let me step back and tell the story from a few weeks prior to that first taste of tangible soul.     It was spring.  Grandma and I were sowing seeds in the garden while we Moirae - Chapter 1

ToTG - Chapter 1CHAPTER 1 - Halloween - The Madness of the Gods   
   "...Halloween candy: bite into these treats produced by our very own local candy shop; Sweet Dreams.  We'll interview the shop owner and give tips on how to identify whether your candy is safe or not.  This news and more..."  The ten o'clock news on Channel 7 droned in the background as Galen finished getting ready for bed.  It was one of only a handful of nights out of the year where he was allowed to stay up past nine o'clock.  Halloween had always been one of Galen's favorite holidays.     The ToTG - Chapter 1

One more big "thank you" to :denlm: for the critique! Chapter 1 is now cleaned up, and I feel much better about the small polish it received. Working on Chapter 2, now.

Hopefully there are still ghosts in the closet peeking over my shoulder... hate to share my work with the great nothingness, after all.
